A new breed of overlanding is emerging on the scene. Urban Overlanding is becoming popular among a new group of people just joining the overland scene. Underlanding.com caught up with Dr. Kowski. A man no stranger to capable vehicles but new to the Overlanding lifestyle.

Dr. Kowski-“I was on my way to the hospital and I noticed all the potholes along the interstate kept getting worse. One day I saw some orange cones and there was a break, in that break was a dirt path where they had everything tore out. I had to engage my intelligent four-wheel-drive system in my Range Rover. My morning commute felt like it had turned into a Safari. The barriers and obstacles provided an ample proving grounds for my four-wheel-drive. I discovered that day that I have been a part of a community for years. I just have never been able to express that in my urban environment. The next phase of my Overlanding challenges is leading me to do some vehicle modifications. My range rover although 100% fully capable stock I want to add a winch maybe make the top of the cab a two tone to be reminiscent of other Land Rovers, and of course I need traction mats, I would likely pull those on the back passenger side.
Under landing.com would like to say thank you to Dr. Kowski for filling us in on this new type of urban Overlanding. We hope that the guys yelling at him while he was over landing through the city in the cove area were yelling at somebody else.
